The last proper album by Lou and he goes out in style. The record starts off strong with Paranoia Key of E. Rock Minuet and Like A Possum are epic songs reminiscent of Sister Ray and Street Hassle. It finishes well with Big Sky.

"Ecstasy" è buono ma non è uno dei suoi dischi migliori; se poi lo si confronta con quanto aveva realizzato appena dieci anni prima impallidisce. Contiene qualche bella canzone, un suono potente, ma talvolta sembra tirato per i capelli, allinea troppi riempitivi ( ed infatti dura troppo… ) e Lou con la voce sembra non arrivarci sempre...
The last truly Lou Reed album. Great rhytm section, great songs and production.
