Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 1% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 80.6/100, a mean average of 80.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 81.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.7.

Such an incredible compilation. So many of some of the greatest songs of all time are here. Jailhouse Rock, Heartbreak Hotel, Suspicious Minds, Can’t Help Falling In Love, It’s Now Or Never. The only absolute greatest Elvis Songs that aren’t on here is the underrated Viva Las Vegas and the triumphant If I Can Dream from the ‘68 comeback special.
The best way to listen to Elvis Presley.

One disk is not enough for Elvis, a better collection is 1987's The All Time Greatest Hits.
Why this doesn't have Blue Suede Shoes in it? Unbelievable!
Great album for the casual Elvis fan. All the great songs without having to wade through some slop.

Unlike most artists, the best way to listen to Elvis is a compilation. And out of all of the compilations, this is the best.

Like any good compilation should do, 30 #1 Hits captures the absolute essence of Elvis and showcases him at his best. An excellent album that can be put on anywhere and is bound make people either feel happy, sing along or - in some rarer cases - dance around the room...

I know compilations get a hard time on this site, but wow... this is a just an amazing collection. I feel Elvis was from a time where the focus really was on the individual recording, not an album. He sure had the hits.
The greatest singer of all-time. Some great songs. All number ones, apparently. At least 75% of this album is great too. You can't argue with success! Good starter if you've never bought a CD by him before, but for everybody else... why bother?
