This is their best work. Very simple and pasaionate with some amazing songs. Until "Aha..." they reached again this point and they are going downhill since then. Give it a try; it's great!
I think that this EP is the Kings of Leon at their best. This album has a raw sound with strong songwriting, and a unique take on modern rock. California Waiting is a good song. Some of the songs from this EP went on their first album but the first album added in some songs that weren't very good. I just think that this EP is the Kings of Leon being themselves and not forcing anything or trying hard to be different. Vintage Kings of Leon. I recommend Holy Roller Novocaine.
This EP is my favorite work from Kings Of Leon. I think that this EP is them at their best. It's raw and it's passionate and it's not forcing anything or trying too hard to be different. This is the Kings of Leon just being the Kings of Leon and doing a damn good job of it. It's just too bad they have never had a very good album.
