Early IDM bangers
Underrated early IDM compilation. Forward-thinking music.

A nice diverse compilation that not so much spawned as solidified the burgeoning IDM scene. Having tracks from a bunch of different artists actually alleviates what can be a common flaw in electronic music, where it gets too repetitive without and mechanical.
Also, that song Premonition is totally proto- modern EDM in sound, though a lot more interesting
