I get that Red Hot Chili Peppers fans might not like this album since it doesn’t sound like the band’s early or recent work. But damn, for people who love funk like me, it’s really an amazing album!

RHCP at their most funky, but pales in comparison to their 90s work.

The funkiest RHCP album some nice tracks and some that showed they were still a work in progress.
Produced by George Clinton, freaky styley, is an improvement on their first record, but it's still nothing special. A bit immature, but there are hints of the greatness to come. Easily the best of the first three Chili's albums.
There are no redeemable qualities in this 2nd album. The first 3 Pepper albums are bad. They partied and skated and wore socks on their dongs and had a blast being loud. Yay for them.
Nothing in this album hints at their potential so going back to hear where they were at the time is an interesting listen for a few minutes.

This album is a mess. I personally like it but I can see how other people would not. I guess you had to have been there.
