Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 5% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 75.9/100, a mean average of 74.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.3.

Has some of Nirvana's best songs as for me their best songs tended to be released on singles, yet it lack my favorite of them all: Even in His Youth.

A couple of great tunes (namely Dive, Son of a gun, New Wave Polly), but not much more.

My favorite Nirvana album. Even though it's categorized as a compilation I don't consider it to be. All songs on this are fucking fantastic. No commercial shine. I don't even label this as grunge. Most of this is great rock n roll.

If you think Nevermind is too glossy, but Bleach is too raw. Incesticide is Nirvana set to “just right.”

First listen in years and thoroughly fucking enjoyable all the way. Even an album that isn't an album is good. Of course the starred tracks are amazing but the whole thing is needed for those fans.

The first half sits comfortably next to Nevermind, if somewhat less essential. The second half is weaker than the low points of bleach. Then it finishes with one of their best track.

i know it's a compilation but songs from this album don't appear on other albums.
So it's kinda like an album made out of ep's and singles, but without repeated songs from other albums.
best thing nirvana released, love you kurt
