That feeling of dread, that initial panic that grips you, fingers over eyes, Wire are masters of evoking it and here they're at their sublime best. Being an album consisting of post-154 songs given a proper studio working, Change Becomes Us is surprisingly cohesive. It is also some of their best work since the run of their classic, first three albums.
