Combat rock, is really the 'last' proper Clash album, and looking at the contents of the box set a few years ago, it seems the band agrees with this. If you take out, should i stay or should i go, and, rock the casbah, it would be an incredibly frustrating album. The rest is fine, but it's clear by now that the Clash were slipping. Not as bad as, cut the crap, but still disappointing.
Alright album by The Clash, Other than Casbah and Should I Stay, the songs didn't really stick out for me and it disappoints me to be honest especially the fact that this was written by The Clash and they have written albums that are much more superior. So that adds more of the disappointment. But maybe one day my mind will change about this album and I will look at it in a new light. Who knows, but for now, it's average. In my eyes, at least...

I agree, trully uneven for hardcore fans only... but Casbah and Should I stay or should I go rock...
They're weakest album except for Cut the Crap.
Some great songs on it but as an album it's not great

Nowhere near the greatness of early Clash, this is great fun nonetheless and includes the MONSTER hits Should I Stay or Should I Go and Rock the Casbah. Anyone can do without the B side.
