It's definitely not my thing (I'm a 54 year-old male). However, I do appreciate that she is exhibiting more talent than most of today's new music artists in any genre. That said, I prefer Jewel's "Pieces of You" which was recorded in 1995 when she was 21.
Breathe is the most underrated track, a real grower. This whole album is filled to the brim with pop delights and broken hearts. a classic

She can't sing live but sounds okay in the studio. But she can songwrite and writes good songs.
Charting its own path with a distinctive singer-songwriter, whose strength lies in her unique ability to craft memorable pop songs. The hits are very strong, although tending toward commercialization. There are also some very strong album tracks, especially "Hey Stephen" and "The Best Day." By no means a masterpiece -- the length and the sameness of the instrumentation from song to song hold it back from that -- but definitely a strong debut. 9/10! (Edited)

Great pop! Fantastic album, with lyrics for all the teen girls. And just an enjoyable sing a long with drunk friends
