Early 90s grrrrl rock is back, baby! This spiffy debut album from established musicians is replete with hooks with no seconds wasted. In fact, a little extra length would probably help some of these early 90s alt-rock numbers. This is one of those albums that will have you humming the chorus to yourself immediately after listening (whether you want to or not). These songs adhere to Britt Daniel's philosophy for music -- keep it short and catchy. None of these songs overstay their welcome and they rock out with sickly-sweet girl power and harmonies. Recommended if you dig early hole, vivian girls, best coast and early breeders.
