Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 61.4/100, a mean average of 60.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 60.7/100. The standard deviation for this album is 24.1.

If you took Lady Gaga + Piper at The Gates of Dawn and Midnite Vultures and then smooshed em together, you'd get something like this.

gawdy, kitsch and so completely different to what successful albums and singles do, yet so irreperably Lady Gaga I can't help but come back and listen again and again

Gaga Knows how to make quality, artsy, and edgy Pop albums. Not quite up to her best work but still a very good album.

Great concept and great leaked demos which shows how good it was going to be and how fu**ing horrible are her managers.

Overproduced and it gives you that kind of feeling that you get when you finish something but you can change some things to make it better or start it all over again.

This album has too many songs and distract the listener from the real good songs. Its a good record, but not as great as her previous one.

In my opinion the album should be like this:

1. Aura
2. Venus
3. G.U.Y
4. Sex Dreams
5. MANiCURE
6. Do What You Want (Ft Xtina Aguilera Version)
7. Artpop
8. Swine
9. Mary Jane Holland
10. Gypsy
11. Applause

In my opinion, is a better album like this. Stronger.

Millions step back from her previous records. Everything doesn't feel right. Only few songs are good. No doubt it is Artpopcalypse......

Appears to fumble the ball. Here's hoping she picks it up again - she's so much more interesting than most top-40 pop artists.
