The Dark Side of The Moon of 21 century is a term we often come across while talking about Limp Bizkit's masterpiece, Chocolate Starfish and Hot Dog Flavored Water. I think this comparison is offensive to Fred Durst's musical genius. Humanity still hasn't been able to top this perfect album and I highly doubt it ever will. Ok yes, the album title and album art is ridiculous and childish. Yes, Durst is insufferable. But I'm sorry it's a good album. The rating on this site is purely a product of snobbery and dislike for one man who yes isn't the best human (I find it hilarious how the same people will wax lyrical about wife-beater John Lennon and credibly-accused child molestor MJ and not bat an eye, but no, this guy is beyond the pale because he uses toilet humour in his album title and wears a red cap backwards). Take A Look Around is brilliant, the guitar riff for Hot Dog is awesome and I love the "If I say fuck 2 more times, that's 46 fucks in this fucked up rhyme" line, even the two quieter and less Limp Bizkit sounding songs (One and Hold On) are nice. My Generation and My Way are great. The buildup and drop of that guitar on Boiler is so good. Musically it's a great album. Lighten up people. Life is meant to be fun you know (Edited)

Ok, Let me start by saying that so far, What I have heard from this album is just too damn good (This is my opinion by the way).

The intro's a bit meh and cheesy but afterwards, it gets a lot better with a little song called ''Hot Dog'' (Yes, the same song that swears from start to finish but hey, at least I enjoy listening to it like I did around 2 years ago or so).

My Generation is a good track, the instrumental part near the end is a bit mental but the song starts with a good drum beat and then gets into the real fun by the lead singer (Fred Durst) saying '' My G-G-Generation!'' and just takes off from there.

Full Nelson isn't too bad, it's just talking about getting hated with Fred Duest not knowing who the people are hating him at all.

My Way is good (Especially the parts when you get to keep on hearing the words ''Check out my melody!'' and when you get told that Fred Durst is going to things my way)

Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle) Aka Highlight of the album, just blows me away like seriously, it's probably the most iconic (and best) song of the early 2000's (A long time before I discovered bands such as Nickelback, Disturbed, Creed, Silverchair and Limp Bizkit themselves).

Livin' it up isn't too bad, I don't enjoy listening to none single songs because mostly you become more use to the songs that have been released as a single, etc.

The One shares similarities to Re-Arranged as it starts from quiet and then goes crazy towards the end.

Getcha Groove on is ok, but it's a whole different style compared to their own songs from their original style which is a bit meh but somewhat catchy.

Take a look around is probably the most aggressive song on this album and is near enough on the similar aggressive level as other nu metal bands such as Slipknot and Mudvayne.

I'll be OK: Meh, no comment.

Boiler is a bit long but not too bad, has parts of anger and aggression.

Hold on: haven't listened to it as yet.

Rollin' (Urban Assault Vehicle): The complete opposite of the (Air Raid Vehicle) edition and that's a fact because the (Air Raid Vehicle) edition just literally kicks ass!

Outro: Apparently, it's around nearly 10 minutes long and I'm not wasting my time listening to a 10 minute track that's an outro (Sorry, Limp Bizkit).

Overall Rank: 90/100 (For now, it may change if I can be bothered listening to the songs I haven't listened to as yet). (Edited)

I guess this is the definition of a guilty pleasure. Lyrics are awful, everything sounds tacky and very 2000s, but melodies are great and in general it's pleasurable to listen to. (Edited)

I do not say this lightly, but this is probably the worst album of it's genre and era. Just a colossal turd of epic proportions. Durst is at his Durstian worst, the most insufferable, immature, and embarrassing front man you can imagine. That this album sold millions will always baffle, and very much depress, me.
