Une très bonne compilation pour découvrir les Beastie Boys et leur musique éclectique.
There are very few bands I'd recommend to start with a best of of (maybe the Cure and the Chemical Brothers, though their albums are great by themselves) so it should be unlikely that I recommend a best of my favorite band, especially one whose sound is so broad and different from one album to the rest. That's how great a compilation is, The Sounds of Science manages to capture the manic energy, the crazy scope and the humor of the band through a double CD. I never listen to it, I love their albums far too much, but I still think it is, unlike their further best-of, a very commandable gateway to those fantastic Hall of Famers.

Sure, it's got all the hits, but it's also got loads of rare songs on it that you probably haven't heard unless you're a hardcore collector. Worth owning just for that, even though most of them aren't great.
