This group pretty much invented complex lyricism and shaped the way most of the 90's rappers wrote their rhymes. 4 classic albums. 1. Paid in full 2. follow the leader 3. Don't sweat the technique 4. Let the rhythm hit 'em

Their first two albums are classic but their other two albums are pretty good as well. Four albums of this quality is really hard to come by.

Paid in Full should be ranked higher than 692. And how is Follow the Leader in the 2000s? These guys are some of the most important forefathers of hip-hop, and their work stands up well to age.
