A champagne supernova of an album crammed with some of the biggest anthems of the 90s. "Champagne Supernova" made me go Oasismaniac and buy all their albums. On a less positive note, I think we all can say by now that we've heard "Wonderwall"! In order to fully appreciate this album, don't look back in anger and just roll with it.

The last injection of Alice in Chains. The band sounds as horrifying and gloomy as never before. At the same time, the three-legged dog on the album cover totally freaks me out! Alice in Chains' selftitled album would very appropriately also be the last "real" Alice in Chains album. RIP Layne Staley.

Confession: I love Mariah Carey's music! The songwriting itself might be assembly line work, but it's compensated by far with a chilled out glittery sound and Mariah Carey's great voice. There's nothing worse than women over-singing, but somehow I'm able to tolerate her way of singing. "Daydream" excels as her most consistent and focused work.

Timeless fusion of drum 'n' bass and ambient. A state of mind that is as mesmerizing as it is otherworldly!

Constance Demby simply creates some of the most heartfelt new age that exists on this planet. A title such as "Cry of the Heart" does not exaggerate in the slightest!

Melancholy and infinite sadness. The Smashing Pumpkin's astounding odyssey will take you through the whole spectrum of unpleasant emotions ranging from mellow sadness to terrifying anger! The length, its circular conceptual nature and all may seem forced, but the fact remains that there's an overwhelming amount of quality music here.

Radiohead performing a strong set of songs as a guitar-oriented rock band before they finally disappeared in studio atmospherics, but adding minor cosmic exploration to their sound. A nice dream within the frames of just alternative rock.

David Bowie takes us outside the norms and limits of music, even by his standards. Spacey arrangements collected in this quite long conceptual album, it's very out there and takes you to strange places where you've never been. A good Enoized beginning of his late 1990s electronic trilogy if a bit too long and inconsistent.

Aphex Twin cares about making great music probably because his audience does too. This album, compared to the "Selected Ambient Works" series, marks a shift from the more ambient to the more "intelligently danceable", which still means it will give you the chills!

A perfect way to escape from anything that isn't critical danger. These floaty new age melodies are as soft for the ears as velour is for the body.
