A fascinating hybrid of the cerebral and the physical, of funk and what would be known as "cold wave", of American and European music, the aptly titled STS elevates the "transitional" album to an art-form in itself.

Litterary, jazzy, beautiful. And very removed from her folk beginnings. A definite grower by an artist who obviously didn't give a toss about the current music trends.

A beautiful electronic debut by a vastly under-rated pioneer of electronica. His first two albums are truely great in their genre, with melodies and a real sense of atmosphere. Like melancholy-feeling machines.
