"Of all the late-career Johnny Cash recordings with Rick Rubin behind the soundboard, those on Unchained are far and away my favorites. That's partly because I spent many a Friday night drinking beer in my buddy Mark's living room listening to this album. But it's also because this is the album wi..."  [+]  Reply

"The album begins with some great cover versions. The second part dissolves in less coherent pieces and falls apart a bit. I really like the addition of the Hammond organ on this album, as well as the drumming, which is great. Overall a 70 or 75/100."  Reply

"It's sad to see such a great artist pigeon holed. As a life long R.E.M. fan, seeing their stuff on MTV growing up, etc. This is better than Monster in my opinion. I feel it is the right level of pop, edge, and punk rock. I feel it is every bit their sound as any other album. This is why this band..."  [+]  Reply

"The arrangement of this album, musically and production-wise is masterful. This is THE penultimate break-up record, in my honest opinion. There's musical themes woven throughout, and the emotional journey of Matt's relationship and it's demise are made relatable amd easy to invest in as a listener."  Reply

"I was kind of disappointed with this one. Harry has always wowed me by putting out some of the best radio pop one could ask for but I think he missed the mark on the one. I love Love of My Life though. 6/10"  Reply

"Kudos to Cypress Hill. They had a complete original sound of their own with this debut album. Fantastic grooves with a slight heavy overtone. How can you not love it? How can you not groove to it? Top class."  Reply
