Still solo and acoustic, recorded quickly, but a clear break away from his protest-singer persona. Dylan was then at the vanguard of what could be achieved within the context of a song's lyrics. So many classics from one mind still boggles mine.

Nice synopsis. Like the 'old Bob' 'young Bob' distinction ~ it is quite obvious but you handle it very well.

Love the fact that 1997-2012 albums are ranked so high. Desire and The Times They Are A Changin' are surprisingly low.

Love this chart.Totally agree with your number 1. that's my fave fave too. Great synopsis of New Morning. Self Portrait should be higher though! it's quite exceptional i think. (i know i'm in the minority. lol) Peace!
