Top 50 Greatest Music Albums

This list doesn't represent my favorite albums, but rather my favorite live recordings. I had to leave some amazing albums off the list, but focused on shows that not only featured great musicianship but also great participation from the crowd. In my opinion, there's nothing like listening to a great show where the crowd is clearly engaged and having a blast. Many of my selections were not listed in the BestEverAlbums database so maybe my taste is drastically different from most of the readers, but please leave your comments. I'm ALWAYS seeking out great music!

Love the idea of your chart. I particularly liked your inclusion of Reckoning. The best live Dead album by far. I don't include live albums in my top 50 but maybe I should. There are a number of live albums that I'd put into my top 50. Won't list them all here but some definate entries for me would be; Live & Dangerous (Thin Lizzy), At the Filmore (ABB), Live @ Raji's (Dream Syndicate) & Year of the Horse & Weld (Neil Young & CH) just to name a few.
