"Because when you see the face of God, you will die, and there will be nothing left of you, except the God-man, the God-woman, the heavenly man, the heavenly woman the heavenly child."
I'm not poetic enough to describe this album. It's like the remains of the universe at the end, after all has been said and done. Just nothingness stretching out in every direction as the final echoes of everything that once was finally fade out. I've only listened to it start to finish 4 times because of how much it requires you to put into it, but those 4 times were more than enough to bring it up this high. Also, it is well known that this album only has 4 tracks, so, for favourite tracks, I've chosen the named track sections.
Favourite Tracks: Lift Yr. Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven, Gathering Storm / Il Pleut À Mourir (+Clatters Like Worry), She Dreamt She Was A Bulldozer She Dreamt She Was Alone In An Empty Field, Chart #3 [First added to this chart: 05/07/2017]

"We're not scaremongering, this is really happening."
The thing that I love the most about Kid A is the cryptic, fractured story that it hints at among the nonsense that makes up most of the album. The way I see it, it's as if the protagonist is in denial about something, trying to convince himself that "everything is in its right place", he's "not here, this isn't happening," or faking optimism "the best you can is good enough." Throughout the album, these attempts to evade whatever he's trying to escape grow more and more desperate, until he can't take it anymore, and begins to tell himself he's "living in a fantasy world." With Idioteque, he finally snaps in the frantic, anxious climax of the album, "we're not scaremongering, this is really happening." After that comes Morning Bell and Motion Picture Soundtrack, neither of which have I figured out yet. Maybe I will someday. For now, it just adds to the mystique of the album.

"Imagine, he said, all the flesh that is eaten, the teeth tearing into it, the tongue tasting its savour and the hunger for that taste. Now take away that flesh, he said, take away the teeth and the tongue, the taste and the hunger. Take away everything as it is. That was my plan. My own special plan for this world."
