Kid A is a sonic achievement. It’s a blissfully esoteric trip into a dystopian reality. While there is a lot on here that could be considered bleak in terms of mood, it’s simply anything but that in the way of conceptual and musical execution.
Whether the band is re-writing the rule book of technology assisted rock music like on the opener Everything In It’s Right Place or reaching into a deeper pocket than ever before for the explosive groove of The National Anthem, Radiohead defy any and all expectations even on repeat listens. I kind of can’t imagine hearing this fresh upon its release. [First added to this chart: 03/14/2018]

I don’t think there’s any doubt that the records that placed 3rd and 4th in this chart are objectively better albums and musical pieces. But man, I played the hell out of this album a few years ago and have some good memories associated with it too.
The MMLP offers some classics, some awesome deep cuts (some not completely awesome ones also..), and quotables for years. This is an essential rap record. [First added to this chart: 03/14/2018]
