This is the second album I bought by Coldplay, going backward from their 2021 release. This is an excellent album with an almost modern progressive feel. I will be going back further into their catalogue, they seem to be a band capable of releasing quite different albums which I like.

It is quite apparent that when it comes to Coldplay, there are a group of people who hold the first four albums in such high regard that everything that followed is second rate. I am not in that camp, in fact I started with Music of the Spheres which I thought was excellent. A word which really irritates me when it comes to albums is 'filler'. As a musician myself, there is no such word in the musical world, filler is something I use before I decorate a room. No musician sets out to write a piece of music just to fill time on an album. With all that off my chest, I think this is a very good, vey musical album with a great use of atmosphere, something Coldplay excel at.

A really good album, quite dreamy and ethereal in parts. The drums are recorded quite forward in the mix and sound like a drum machine (which it could actually be) at times, this isn't a criticism, I actually like it. 'Magic' is a personal favourite.

Boy does this album get a kicking. As others have said before and will say after, Coldplay know how to divide a room. When U2 and Simple Minds became stadium acts did they get such a kicking? Maybe they did. The thing is, bands and solo artists have to develop and move on, if every Coldplay album sounded like their first three, that would be boring, and yes, I do like it.

Awesome list of albums and great to see many Simple Minds albums. I have sooo much respect for you. Recently I changed my number 1 album of all time to Simple Minds album, 'New Gold Dream', as I listen to that album the most. The other albums are great too.

Indeed the last Simple Minds albums are quite good.
Nice to see TD Quantum Key: I love the albums of the new TD Trio.
The "Sessions" albums of the last years are superb as well.
