Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart is rated in the top 2% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 91.2/100, a mean average of 91.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 92.3/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 10.9.

Great chart. Very personal which I like. Nice to see Graveyard in there. Also Lizzy's Chinatown. Very underrated in my opinion.

Trespass is so often overlooked. Probably my second favorite Genesis album after SEbtP

Enjoyed checking out some of the artists/albums that I had not come across before. Really like it that this chart is different ~ refreshingly so. I liked seeing Joan Armatrading in the chart (I have her 1975's 'Back To The Night' in my top 100 chart).

I like the chart a lot.
I guess you intentionally didn`t always choose the best album of a certain artist, but the most underratet album that needs the most support...
For example "Trespass", "Deep Purple", "Starless and Bible Black"
I like Trespass for introducing all the typical progressive rock ingredients and still beeing pure and a bit naive like their 1st album was. It´s sure underrated.

Nice chart with a different perspective. A lot of albums you don't often see in a top 100. Like it

Refreshingly different chart! Love charts with a good amount of prog. Joan Armatrading was the biggest surprise on here cuz I randomly bought it cheap on vinyl one time and ended up really liking it.

Very diversified tastes while obviously trending towards prog. I like that a lot of your favorites are not the artist's most commercially successful. I never liked any part of Trespass and the recording is the worse, but it still feels like the genesis of genesis (of one of my favorite bands)

Like some others I can't score your chart because I don't know most of the albums. Those that I do recognise I like well so that suggests the rest is gonna be good too. Quite a bit rockier than mine which you might be right - is a bit hip.
When I get through all the more known albums first I will defo come back to work through some of your picks. Help me out with more descriptions please.
Great individual chart for sure.
