The first comedic music i remembered hearing was on my portable am/fm radio. The dr. demento show played a variety of comedy music and parodies, etc. including "grandma got run over by a reindeer" come christmas time. Some of it was quite hilarious (and weird), including from this guy.

When rap began, it was unlike most music that came before it...for those that considered it music.

White music performers have been stealing from the black community since (at least) Elvis. Rap previously was ghetto noise for black people, but the beastie boys with their strange, funky personalities brought it to the white boy suburbs which probably freaked many a parent out.

Good concept, weird pop. Like the list. But is it fair to put Weird Al in here? Isn't that more 'humor' than weirdness like Bjork and Flaming Lips?
