"Foreign affairs, is Tom Waits' film noir album. It's full of monochrome images of gangsters, loose women, and illicit goings on, it's a very cinematic experience. "Steve Harley is about the performance and the passion. So he isn’t much of a singer. That doesn’t matter when you put as much emotion in to a song as he does. I love his version of Here Comes the Sun and Come Up and See Me, Make Me Smile is my favourite. Give this band a chance!" Reply

"As the title implies, this is a more urban record. It's also oriented towards both pop and African-inspired rhythms. Not the best by Gil, but there're a few of good tracks here, my favourite being "Sandra"." Reply
