"Most believe that Catch A Fire was the Wailer's big commercial breakthrough and in some ways it was, but this was their first album to chart well outside of Jamaica and had their all- time top 2 biggest hits ("I Shot the Sheriff", "Get Up, Stand Up"). Plus, Marley's "Burnin' and Lootin" and Livin..." [More]

"The best of Kiss. I actually think they're a band where a compilation is the best way to go. A few toe-tapping singles, but no real cohesive album that rocks from start to finish. Some great tracks here, but I can't stand Beth."

"Has some great parts, but some mediocre parts drag it down a bit. The bass and drum solos are too long and rambling, yet I would say Ornette's soloing stands out (minutes 10-19)"

"Save for the title, the first track on "Burn Your Fire For No Witness" seems to suggest that Olsen is finding a balance between the lo-fi stylings of her debut EP "Strange Cacti" and the more clean sounding production of "Half Way Home". This of course leaves the listener totally unprepared for n..." [More]

"Yep. It's another solid cocktail rocker. A couple numbers lower the score (Red Shoes by the Drugstore, Kentucky Avenue), but all in all this is good stuff with Whistlin' Past the Graveyard and Christmas Card from a Hooker leadin' the way."

"For some reason I thought they were Scandanavian Yeah this is plenty all-right, a lot of aughties-era deja vu, but certainly peppy and well-produced even if this feels far too overhyped at the current moment. At least there are enough engaging tunes (though some wide misses as well) to make me fo..." [More]

"Wonderfully experimental. This is the only album of it's kind and has the potential to influence pop for years to come. I think the rock-only nerds got to the album first (currently a 72) - ya'll know pop music can be good, right? Especially when it's this euphorically fucked up?"
