"The plethora of music from hundreds of different countries outside the western-world tends to get clumped into a single "World" genre which is incredibly trivialising and in all honesty really, really stupid. These records tend to be incredibly underrated in the western-world, especially in compa..."  [+]  Reply

"Because of the little instrumental tracks/vignettes this is not an album that is easy to rate solely on tracks alone but as a whole is second only to Electro Shock Blues in the Eels studio catalogue. It may take a couple of listens to really grow on you so don't give up on it!"  Reply

"Killer Mike - R.A.P. Music is an album I expect most -if not all- users will be pretty familiar with. Despite that, I've always found it difficult to talk about it. I've been in a handful of debates about it the last years and it always comes to the same conclusion: I don't like it to the same de..."  [+]  Reply

"it saddens me that this album hasn't even broke the top 1,000. lupe is so over-looked as an artist its not even funny, lyricism is mirrored by none, the modern-age Nas. I firmly believe it's one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time, the 2nd best of the 2000s after marshall mathers lp."  Reply

"So much emotion is evoked through their whimsical electronica... I do prefer their revolutionary debut, but this is another excellent record from Yellow Magic Orchestra with beautiful melodies and lots of inventive, crazy fun !"  Reply

"Interesting for sure. Fluffy Little Clouds is of course great. Spanish Castles in the Sky is one of those strange tracks that I want to love, the whole vibe and atmosphere and instrumentation of it is really pleasing and has so much potential, and yet its just squandered. The track really undergo..."  [+]  Reply

"With all Beach Boys' album it has great harmonies, but this one is unlike any album they've recorded before."Wild Honey" has a raw soulful, loose feel with a stripped-down production. These upbeat songs are a departure from both the sunshine hits and the huge production of "Pet Sounds". This enjo..."  [+]  Reply

"I used to somewhat derisively call APP “Pop Floyd.” Then, as time went on and I couldn’t stop listening to them, I came to realize that it wasn’t a derogatory nickname at all; what it it meant to me was that they were thoughtful and accessible at the same time. And at their peak they put out very..."  [+]  Reply

"I think of this album more like spoken poetry. There is a strong presence of the literary tradition in this album, and then you have the impressive rhythmical guitar that comes with the lyrics and there you have it: an impressive collection of songs created by one of the most important folk singe..."  [+]  Reply
