"Energy, fire and skill. What makes it great to me, or rather, confirms it is that every one I spoke to when it came out had a different favourite track. Terse, violent slashing chords from Weller with great bass and drums counterpoint. Highly underrated. The Jam's best album IMHO." Reply

"Reaper is the big hit, and I have always liked it, but my personal favorite is ETI. I think this is a good record, but I also think that BOC isn't for everyone. They have a unique sound that doesn't appeal to everyone. Saw them on the Black & Blue Tour in 1980 in Rockford, IL. Great show." Reply

"I got this album completely wrong the first time around. It took me a while to get into this because the album is mainly based on grooves and feel rather than out and out melody.
