"Wow, does Paul McCartney seem revitalized or what? I've never been a huge McCartney fan, but there's a focus to this album i haven't ever seen in his solo works, including any of his recent stuff all the way back to "Ram". He works with a handful of producers to deliver a very good album with no ..."  [+]  Reply

"There's a review that criticizes these songs as mere character sketches in which "very little happens." If that's what you're taking away from these songs, you're just not listening. I've said it before, but his ability to create a whole world in four minutes is masterful."  Reply

"a pop masterpiece. i found it really hard to listen to it beyond Hollaback Girl because the first three songs are total killers and the other can sound like filler. But not at all. My favourites is Luxurious and the first three. Special mention to A Long Way To Go, i found it really interesting."  Reply

"Lanegan has one of greatest rock voices of all times, and he uses it at his best on this album. A blast from beginning till end, and another great duet (this time with PJ Harvey). Would trade this album for the entire top 20 of 2004, apart from the Arcade Fire and Nick Cave albums."  Reply

"I think I'm halfway in-between the earlier comments. While this album isn't an all-time favourite and some of the covers struggle, it's also not a poorly executed flop. Their covers of Renegades of Funk and How I Could Just Kill a Man aren't better than the originals, but take them in an entirely..."  [+]  Reply

"A fantastic jazz fusion album that really stunned me on first listen and I have been hooked ever since. The performances on this album are just amazing and some of the solos on here are just astounding. Every instrument seems to be played so well and each has their own individual moment to shine...."  [+]  Reply

"I've been waiting for Lykke Li to find her sound ever since her 2008 debut. That album, and the follow-up, were promising Swedish dance-pop, but they were missing something. On this release, she's managed a solid collection, including a couple of real standout tracks. I suspect her best album is ..."  [+]  Reply

"Are we really blowing a load every time we hear a string section? I've grown to enjoy her as a personality and, well, as much as I really want to like her music I don't think I've come across an output that have felt so underwhelming compared to the hype and praise that's been heaped upon it. The..."  [+]  Reply
