"Smart, dark (but not humorless) rock songs featuring the narrative enthusiasm of Bob Geldof's singing, the superb piano/synth playing of Johnny Fingers, the consistently outstanding drumming of Simon Crowe, brattily fun backup vocals, and the best detail-oriented rock production I've ever heard."  Reply

"This has to be up there for one of the freakiest album covers I’ve ever seen. However, the album cover kind of fits the album itself, at least, it fits the lyrics. Thee Oh Sees seventh album so far is a really good, heavy, guitar-driven album. It’s garage rock, but a little heavier than what you ..."  [+]  Reply

"this was a really strong debut album, and the song "Gorecki" is a real standout, and it has made it onto many mix CDs i've burned for friends. a snippet was included in the film Moulin Rouge, and it's been used in other films and the tv series Torchwood."  Reply

"A great follow-up to Drunk Tank Pink. The record starts off strong (and fast) with Fingers of Steel and Six-Pack, before transitioning into Yankees, a slower-paced track that continues to grow on me more and more. The band also showcases some nice variety with songs like Adderall and Orchid. I th..."  [+]  Reply
