"I loved Holly Herndon's "Platform" and it's true that the San Francisco musician amazed her entourage with her experimental music blending technology and organic. Four years later, she recurs in this approach with her new audacious album called "Proto". Holly Herndon created an artificial intelli..."  [+]  Reply

"quickly becoming my fav project of hers. Every cut is as hypnotizing and catchy as the last. Some really great incorporation of horns from the Spells EP that blend nicely with the 90s-era trance and experimental bits. 8.5-9/10."  Reply

"One of those records that falls victim of always being overshadowed (see what I did there?) by the preceding album which is an all time classic. Very good though it is."  Reply

"This is the record that opens with the classic "Águas de Março" _ but it's not the famous duet with Elis Regina. Since Jobim is not a singer, I prefer the instrumental tracks, especially "Tempo do Mar"."  Reply

"It's a second-rate "Quarry" sequel. I think disappointment as a career-rebound-followup is what sunk this into my memory recesses. But it's a fun, Morissey tongue-in-cheek album. He doesn't sound as passionate about his work this time around, like this is a cover for a headlining tour or a way to..."  [+]  Reply

"Blown away the first time I heard this record, as soon as I got hooked, I had to buy all the sheet music online. I have never heard anyone make chords function in the way that Art Alexakis does. Every Chord is Major. The use of the II chord is present in nearly every track, WTF??? There are also ..."  [+]  Reply

"Including a number of tracks that can't be found on studio albums this is cleverly pitched towards beatles completionists This was released years before the red and blue double lp sets where most of those loose ends would resurface"  Reply
