"Stella Donnelly was revealed to the public with her first EP "Thrush Metal". Since then, the musician from Perth has managed to find a place on the Australian indie rock scene. On this new album, she is fighting patriarchy through acidic writing as in "Old Man" but also "Season's Greetings" and t..."  [+]  Reply

"A good album that rocks much the same as their other albums w/ Brian Johnson. Nothing really new here. If I was to pick a great classic rock album for this year it would be Blue Oyster Cult "The Symbol Remains". Check it out."  Reply

"This is Fates Warning's most accessible album, but don't let that make you think it's either watered down or too mainstream. The group does the ultimate job of creating something musically profound yet listenable. 8 cuts and every on of them is deserving of the highest praise. Not a dog in sight ..."  [+]  Reply

"He basically recorded a bunch of demos and handed them into Atlantic records as his new album. The reason being that the material was so personal for him he holed up at home for a while knocking these out. I'm fine with that as long as the song ideas are flushed out well -- but "raw cut" doesn't ..."  [+]  Reply

"As of me writing this (February 1, 2022), this is my favorite album released in 2022. All but three songs ("The Man You Love to Hate," "The Death of Magic Thinking," and "Trick Out the Truth") are great, and it's on its way to becoming a classic (to me, at least)."  Reply

"Noah and the Whale has never been an acclaimed band, their music is not out of this World, their lyrics are amazing but not too profound. But I hate people defining a band or an album on those parameters. In a particular time of my life, this was the only album I listen too, its easy and you can ..."  [+]  Reply

"A fitting last album for the Man in Black. There's some powerful and emotional stuff on this one. If you're a fan of Johnny's later music, give this one a listen if you haven't already done so."  Reply

"That great big next step forward that was needed. Starker and more contemplative than her previous releases, which often valued pulsating swagger over lyrical and emotional depth, it's a surprisingly mature album full of perspective and confrontational of it's creator's own faults and fears, it's..."  [+]  Reply
