"Reves: 9/10 Reves is easily the best instrumental album I have ever heard. Many of the tracks, such as 2 and 3, showcase just how incredible instrumentalists the band is. The drumming on 2 is powerful and crisp. The guitar playing on 3 is frantic, like a twisted version of the James Bond theme. T..."  [+]  Reply

"As an album, I actually don't like this at all. It's just too much of the same thing. Some individual songs are great though. Nice guitar tones and melodies. I remember Paul saying something like George auditioned with Raunchy to the Beatles and since he was the only one that could play it, he wa..."  [+]  Reply

"For any fan of psychedelic electronica this record is a must listen. More sophisticated than their self titled debut, they expand and stretch the use of primitive oscillators influencing prog into the next decade and beyond."  Reply

"The story goes that Mike Oldfield had to commit to one more album with Virgin Records and they'd been on at him to produce something a little more radio friendly. Ever the contrarian, Mike came up with Amarok. One, hour-long track, split up into little nuggets of weirdness. There's barely a movem..."  [+]  Reply

"As it has already been pointed out multiple times, the album cover is so eye-catching it's impossible to ignore. It's not only about style, the samurai concept runs through the whole album both in a literal -that's obvious, I guess - and in a figurative - a warrior/artist who needs utmost precisi..."  [+]  Reply

"Simple pop that established her brand and one of the most likeable pop acts today. Also, songs on here are the most suited to her voice. Almost like pop punk (but more on the pop side) a la Paramore"  Reply

"Crammed full of singles, slick production (natch), tight harmonies... but obvs. B’s star shines brightest. For me, the apogee of 90s pop/R&B (only rivalled by TLC’s CrazySexyCool and FanMail), and still an album I take out for a more-than-occasional spin some 20+ years since it first landed."  Reply
