"This isn't for me. I like some parts of it. The guitars are sick and the piano is good at times (except when it's playing the Eyes Wide Shut theme). The screams are off-putting, though. I know that it's part of the band's essence but it's not for me. You can tell the band puts a lot of work into ..."  [+]  Reply

"Not really my thing, but thought I'd give it a listen, some good tracks early on, loses its way in the middle and nice calming track at the end. Not sure if Ill listen to any more of there music."  Reply

"I love full Moon in My Pocket. It is such a driven song. Manic vocals and a great bass line. This album starts Gee! That's a swell map! and them just keeps going... always changing and evolving. It is restless and twitching. Music to fidget to."  Reply

"The production is great as it is in most of their projects, drawing some obvious influence from the West Coast, but at the same time sounding super modern. The lyrics are somewhat of a let down ("See, the moral of the story is: She a ho, he a pimp"). Assessing his rapping has always been tricky. ..."  [+]  Reply

"Love this band. All three of their albums are pretty equal. Great mix of synthpop, electronic rock and trip hop. Gets pretty spaced out often and I definitely appreciate that. Not really a "pop" album. Sarah Barthels voice soothes my soul."  Reply

"CD2 covers the Hunky Dory / Ziggy period and the crunchy raw sound really works well. Energetic covers of Velvet Underground's Waiting for the Man and White Light/White Heat are also great. If you like this period of Bowie - listen to this!!"  Reply

"Teardrinker and Gobblers of Dregs are up there with my favorite Mastodon songs. A lot of other songs on this album I really enjoy listening to, in particular The Crux and More Than I Could Chew. I think this collection falls under that category of double albums that would have benefitted from bei..."  [+]  Reply
