"This could almost be a Greatest Hits release by one of the all-time most underrated bands, The Beautiful South. There are some oustanding tracks to keep you interested but the others will start to grown on you too with each re-listen." Reply
"Along with, only the lonely, this is my favourite Frank Sinatra album. The brilliant record cover says it all, it's a light night alone LP. A cottage for sale, stormy weather, and, why try to change me now, are all highlights. A wonderful album, with Sinatra at the peak of his powers. Excellent." Reply
"The ultimate travesty is that this band is remembered for one song (Sex and Candy). When their entire debut is made up of whimsical stories and memorable songs from the wonderful mind of John Wozniak, who is a criminally underrated songwriter. "Good stuff here! It's like Wilco if they wore demin jackets and were angry but still didn't want to make a punk band. So the singer puts more venom in the voice and charges into the fray in his own confusion. I mean titles like 'Sweet Little Thing' and 'Slow Dancing' suggest nice little songs yet..." [+] Reply
