"JJ rippin’ it up. Formidable and vulnerable in equal measure. Take Another Piece of My Heart is my favourite but there are a lot of great songs on this album. When Janis sings she can make a good song great."  Reply

"There are a few really great moments such as Cough Cough, but when the band is at their least eccentric they are also at their least interesting. If every song had as much personality the whole way through then this would be a great album."  Reply

"“Raw Data Feel” comes with a bounce. The instrumentals are flighty electronics built on anxious energy. “CUT UP!” has a particularly swift synth line that gives the chorus a needed push. The lyrics are thematically cohesive and reinforcing. Little details of imagery or character are placed throug..."  [+]  Reply

"Really brilliant album. While her fantastic originals are missed, the choice of covers is superb, and as expected from Nyro they are interpreted, arranged and performed excellently and with great emotion. The inclusion of the Labelle singing trio really lifts the album up too. Highlights include ..."  [+]  Reply

""Smile" comes off more americana than country, but all the same, the album's replete with pop sensibilities which often puts a smile on this face. They're asking you to "smile when you're down and out" and keep your "chin up". then they're proclaiming their love glowingly from the tallest buildin..."  [+]  Reply
