I spent some time tonight poring over the overall list here trying to find the highest-ranked album I’d never heard. The winner: New Order’s compilation “Substance 1987” at #621.

Among studio albums, it was Artaud’s “Pescado Rabioso” at #664.

What’s yours?

I'm pretty sure I've never heard Is This It by The Strokes (currently at #24), so I guess I'm not so impressive in that department. I definitely haven't heard My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (#33) or Ten (#50), except for the singles. I'll probably listen to Is This It eventually, just to find out what the fuss was about (and I'll probably love it), but... not the other two.

I actually do better from 50 to 100 — the only one of those I've not heard is Sound Of Silver by LCD Soundsystem (#96).

I’ve heard the top 150, but after that quite a few gaps. I was trying to listen to the top 200. I think I’ve still about 5 or 6 to go.

The highest I’ve not heard is American Idiot by Green Day, which is it #154.

Igor by Tyler, The Creator

I own the top 258 of the overall chart. This one is next on my list...and I have not yet heard it.

Core by Stone Temple Pilots

(Currently #809)

I haven't heard 11 of our top 1000. Not too interested in any of them, but maybe one day.

Mine would be this one:

98.12.28 男達の別れ [98.12.28 Otok...[Fishmans]

It's at #314 on the overall chart. Not that I have anything against it, on the contrary, I think Fishmans is great, I just don't often have the time to listen to a 120+ minute live album.

That and Joanna Newsom's Have One on Me are the only albums in the top 500 I haven't heard yet (and that's only because Newsom isn't on streaming)

I have heard the whole Top 1000.
And most of the top 1001-2000.
I spent a few years going through and listening to the albums, even ones I didn't like.
I know...OCD!
I recently went back through the Overall Chart, just to check I'd heard the top 1000.

The highest ranked album I have yet to hear is this one:

Aim And Ignite by fun.

The one I haven't rated but have heard at some point is

#103

A Rush Of Blood To The Head by Coldplay

The first one I haven't heard start to finish

#182

Different Class by Pulp

That being said, there are several albums in the top 100 which need another listen.
