Great stuff. More of a raw garage sound before they became famous and polished. One of their better albums.
I don't know this one yet.
The highs (namely tracks 1,2,4) are some of their best stuff.

Warts and all, this is a fucking excellent album, exhibiting musical muscle and brains in spades. Still my 2nd favourite Stripes album because it's so damned edgy and earnest.
Best track: Truth doesn't make a noise
Even more raw than elephant and white blood cells. And although admittedly not as good as those two glorious records, Dr stijl, is still a rollicking good rock'n'roll album, with hints of Led Zeppelin. Good stuff.
You can feel the momentum picking up for The White Stripes, as they get ready to take off.

Decent album. Songwriting is good, but the production is lacking. It took them until Elephant to really get that right.
