This band has the honour of the best band name origin story in the history of band name origin stories. Based on an early 20th century anti-humanist organisation called the Sleepytime Gorilla Press, their music can be best described as incredibly accomplished insanity. They even take the time to invent their own instruments, one of which is tastefully named The Sledgehammered Dulcimer. Carla Kihlstedt on the violin is mindblowing.
