A bountiful source of recs! I love it.
I love how you included albums by Fusion greats like Mahavishnu Orchestra. I have always been a huge fan of Fusion, and I see a lot of cross over with many prog sounds. So, yeah, there's that.
I'd say so far my favorite Prog Rock album ever is "Red" by Kin g Crimson. I just love how fudgin BADASS and heavy it is at times. I really love it. Any recs on albums that may be somewhat in a similar vein with that?
I'll also be jumping into more Camel and Gentle Giant soon methinks.
Oh and I listened to a bit more of that album you shared songs from on my diary. Sorry, the name escapes me now. It's really cool.
Final question for you: How would you say stuff like Can, or even Henry Cow fit into this genre? Same era and sim ilar attempts at introducing seriously radical time signatures and tonal experiments and elements of jazz into rock...I always saw the 2 genres (Krautrock and Prog Rock) as sort of like siblings - very similar in many ways yet distinct.
