Back in the late 80’s I saw The The live in Melbourne with Johnny Marr on lead guitar & it was one of the more memorable gigs I ever experienced being full of palpable energy, rage and musical excellence
Fast forward some 30+ odd years and here we have “The Comeback Special” and at 60 years old it’s proof time eventually catches up with everyone Matt Johnson included with a performance that largely is a complete snooze fest as M.J and co sleep walk through 24 tracks with all the energy of a snail on Valium
