Even though it received universal praise I wasn’t a huge fan of the film this soundtrack accompanied, however I’m pleased to report the soundtrack is excellent. Its not all Velvets though with inclusions of the Theatre of Eternal Music (where Cale honed his drone technique), the Diablos doo woop which inspired Reed, the excellent “The Ostrich” from early LR band the Primitives and band favourite Bo Diddley

Velvets highlights here are rare live versions of “Sister Ray” and “After Hours” and the always haunting voice of Nico on “Chelsea Girls”
