The steady decline has become a runaway slide down the mountain. This is today's Coldplay and finally, after only being able to get with a handful of the tracks on MOTS, I have reached a point with the band where I can genuinely say that I won't be playing any of these tracks again. Sad day, but there it is. The great thing is, their back catalogue is still superb and I won't stop playing that.
R.I.P Coldplay...
Whilst there are quite a few moments that come off as corny and some of the lyrics aren't great, there are other ideas that Chris Martin and friends pull off well and some moments on the record are genuinely beautiful. Certainly an improvement on their last album
