Somehow this album is probably in the bottom 3 or 4 Fall albums for me, which is a brilliant indication of the sheer quality of the Fall's discography, as it's not such a bad album afterall.
This album has a great distorted sound running through it, the first track is very good, then Crop Dust is even better and an immediate highlight, one which possibly includes some reference to 9/11 which I haven't worked out yet.
My Ex-Classmate's Kids is another favourite which leads me to suggest side 2 is something of a let down, I cannot say I am a fan of Ibis-Afro Man, it is amusing/interesting for a few listens but soon becomes tiresome, The Acute and Hollow Mind are ok but nothing spectacular, and then the reprise to finish is just a waste of my time and probably wouldn't make it into my Top 500 Fall tracks if I had one!
