Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 69.1/100, a mean average of 68.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 68.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 19.8.

There are no bad tracks on this album, but there are a few mediocre ones and a lot of "pretty good" ones. A few very good ones and only 1 great one ("Dammit"). But what it lacks (somewhat) in quality, it makes up for in quantity. That consistency makes it a very respectable album. The average could be brought up by cutting a few of the weaker tracks, but it's doubtful that too many could agree which those are. Best songs: Dammit, Josie, Untitled, Pathetic

I am biased, so I'm freely admitting that. Dude Ranch is the album that got me into music, and specifically pop punk and punk, and it'll always be an all time favorite of mine. There isn't a bad track. Obviously a little more raw than it's big brother Enema, the guitars are more in your face, and the drumming is typical punk drumming, not Travis Barker quality. Still, there is some great song writing on here. Enema blew them up, but Dude Ranch is where they found their sound. My favorite tracks would be: Dick Lips, Waggy, Josie, and Lemmings. No other band captures that mid 90's suburbia feel for me. But like I said, I'm biased, I've been listening to this album for 23 years.

lemmings is sick, so is josie,- i still love it at 40 years .old.

Dammit is one of the most should be iconic rock songs out there but isnt known enough!

the whole pop punk vibe wasn't cool enough in the UK to go even into past a cult status. and even then other 'cooler' emo's (of which i was certainly never one) would slate it enema of the state- as in the UK most people heard it from the commercial stuff not the first 2 albums or ones after or box car racer or angel and airwaves. So enema of the state transported Blink 182 in the UK to kids.. some great songs on there still i suppose. everyone needs a break. some do it early and then experiment - others do it late and 'sell out'

but i don't think blink sold out - well tom didnt with the quality of work he produced after that.

i will not listen to the new album because i dont like hopus solo work anyway and ok fair play Tom can not sing great anymore - and he doesn't want to tour(i the alien stuff freaks me out for a dude i admire) - but he is blink for me. tom is just a bass player friend that sings sappy sappy songs and names his band +44 ( i take it he met a girl in the UK) - i saw that gig (the last pre first split up at wembley arena. I felt old then lol. but i was in my 20's.

Hit after hit, this is their most solely fun album. Just because something is silly does not mean that it is disingenuous. Josie is my favorite track

I had a friend who had a GIANT dude ranch poster in his room.

I first heard these guys from when I bought a pair of chucks. Chuck Taylor had this CD that came with it and Dammit was on it.

I love you Blink, but one nearly perfect song doesn't constitute a good album.

Their most emotional album aside from the self-titled one. There has never been a better album filled with songs about teenage heartache.

Damnit is a great track... otherwise, this sounds like all their other albums.
