Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 67.0/100, a mean average of 65.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 66.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.6.

Great album. Best 10 songs average is 92,8/100 and the album can get great 95/100. It's the third-best Aerosmith album for me. Best an full-scoring song is "Hole in my soul". Closely followed by "Falling in love" and "Full circle" both 95/100 and next "Nine lives", "Taste of india", "Pink" and "Fallen angels" all 90/100.

It is a very good album. Pretty underrated in comparison other 90s albums from Aerosmith.

kind of ashamed for buying this back in 97 for only 'Farm' that I had a connection with.

A real step back for Aerosmith. Albums like this make people forget their great work before. The hits (India, Pink, Falling in Love) are the worst tracks on the album. The non-singles are actually OK, but with Nine Lives, Aerosmith had become bloated again - not on drugs, on MTV shit and their own egos.
