The best guitarrist in the history indeed! Each album is a masterpiece, specially with The Experience. His ability to compose both heavy rock and quiet songs at the same time, is totally unique. Of course, how he used to play the guitar is simply incredible, at the point that with any solo of him he claimed it.

Hendrix is not dead!

Mitch Mitchell, Noel Redding and Billy Cox need to get more recognition. Jimi Hendrix was the mastermind behind it all but they also played revolutionary.

The genius of Hendrix is not just about his command over the guitar and his recording and live output, but about his guitar sound innovations and the influence that he excreted to his contemporaries (Townsend, Clapton, Gilmour, Page, Beck) and to a whole new generation out of which came music forms such as hard rock to metal. The electric guitar and rock in general never sounded the same after Hendrix.

Reinvented rock and roll. There were so many trailblazers in the 60s, and Jimi is on par with all of them. His guitar playing was legendary, but don't overlook his songwriting and sense of melody. A legend.
