Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)

This artist has a mean average rating of 58.0/100. The trimmed mean (excluding outliers) is 58.4/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 23.8.

Drake certainly has talent, but it is wasted on him chasing mainstream status. His music is calculated and therefore cold. It does not come from the heart as so many would have you believe. It's made to generate cash flows, and at that, it is quite good.

He's not bad, but he really needs to move on from the autotune.

I just don't get any of his hype. His raps are weak and soft, and his lyrics are just mediocre. People say they listen to him for emotion but damn its just not catchy or enjoyable music. If I want emotional hip-hop/R&B I feel like Kid Cudi or Frank Ocean just makes Drake look like an amateur. Even The Weeknd is way better than this dude and I'm not a huge fan of him either.

People put him at #1 but I can think of at LEAST 30 other rappers more talented.

He's not that bad actually, I'm glad this guy is in the poppy mainstream instead of other subpar acts.

Drake gets a lot of teasing in the rap game for his R&B mixture. A lot of people call him soft, but hey, he gets the money, the critical acclaim, and the women, so the hate he receives is the least of his concerns. His flow is smooth and his singing is pleasant to hear. His songs are very meaningful and deep, something you cannot say to most rap songs. I'd much rather hear his struggles with love, losing friends, and adjusting to fame than hear explicit songs about drugs, partying, violence, and such. While Drake may create a few songs about that type of content, it doesn't take up a whole album like most of the mediocre artists out there. I cannot say much more than that.
