A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. Pretty good! Though i am not sure about american idiot being that high... otherwise its great! If you like bob dylan, then check out the tallest man on earth.
also if you like Neutral Milk and Green Day - listen to Brand New!

Not bad. I love your number one. There's a few I disagree with though. For example, I don't agree with two Green Day albums in the top 10. I need to check out that Bright Eyes album. It seems like you'd be a Smiths fan. Have you discovered them yet? Also, you should check out The Buzzcocks, The Jam, The Clash, and The Ramones if you like Green Day. Happy listening.
