Sung with passionate emotion and has some of the best use of dynamics in the history of rock, this album is a shimmering masterpiece. [First added to this chart: 05/05/2014]

An underappreciated classic. The songs are drawn out and sad, but there's a very big glimmer of hope that brings the listener a calm that very few singer-songwriters can capture. [First added to this chart: 05/05/2014]

This is one of the dreamiest albums I've ever heard. It's lush and sleek, yet sexy in its own chill way. The songs pull you in and make you want to do a slow, lustful dance. [First added to this chart: 05/05/2014]

While these guys went on to achieve mainstream success, this album is the essential Toad The Wet Sprocket album. It's a very teen-age album, but it captures the pains of growing up better than most other albums I've heard. [First added to this chart: 05/05/2014]

A strangely overlooked album, Too Rye Ay is a pop masterpiece. The songs are bouncy and danceable to the point where you might find yourself spinning this a second time. "Come On Eileen" sounds more amazing as a closer than as a stand alone song. [First added to this chart: 05/05/2014]

A very anarchic album, these guys threw their noise through the roof and combined it with some very unique harmonics. Daydream Nation is 70 minutes of pure intensity. [First added to this chart: 05/05/2014]

Unashamed of its artistic depth, this album is the reason why most of my favorite bands did what they did. No matter what, Lou Reed and his band of misfits did it first, and they did it best. [First added to this chart: 05/05/2014]

I came here from your comment on Heyday. And I see your chart is awesome. Great picks. Specially RHP, Modest Mouse and The Clash. Yep, and The Church for sure...
